Allow me to introduce myself

My name is Lacey McKenna Carr. I am a South Mississippi girl, born and raised, with an unending itch for travel and culture, the heart of a lover, the fists of a fighter, the soul of a gypsy, and the mind of a complex human with little to no clue what the hell she is doing. I am 23-years-old, a mess of a human being, and a self-proclaimed artiste. Public relations is my name, fifth-year-college-senior at the University of Southern Mississippi is my game. Pi Beta Phi sorority alumnae, English minor, and extreme animal lover with a penchant for cooking and baking, spontaneous singing and dancing, and the color purple (the color, not the movie).
I have a boyfriend, Erik, who I have had a complicated on-again-off-again relationship with since 2009. However, we will have been going steady for two years this August! We have two dogs together who are like our children. We have Lucia who turned 2-years-old this month. She is an all black German Shepherd and Siberian Husky mix. Then we have Amarok, Rocky for short, who is about a year old and a Belgian Malinois who we saved from an abusive situation.
My therapist, psychiatrist, and pharmacist are all on my speed-dial and I probably would have been a daddy’s girl if mine wasn’t such a piece o‘ shit. My daddy issue’s are most likely in direct correlation with my depression, anxiety, and my devotion to the fight for equality for all womankind. I am fiercely loyal to and protective of my mother, little sister, and friends.
I am telling you all this deeply personal and possibly strange stuff because I want you to get a sense of who I am. And that is because this blog is meant to be about me (The Lost Girl) versus the big bag economy (dramatic music here). The economy is confusing, annoying, important, and above all. . .almost caused me to fail senior year of high school.

Now, Economy, we meet once again in the classroom and once again I shall have victory over you as I blog about you and your effects on me, my state, my country, and possibly even the world. I will be blogging twice a week (fingers crossed) until the end of the semester, mid-May. I will try to write well and in a way that makes economy interesting, reachable, and maybe even a little humorous at times. Big promises! Big pressure! Wish me luck! XOXO
